Blasterjaxx is a DJ and producer duo from The Hague, Netherlands, consisting of Thom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf. Formed in 2010, they have become a driving force on the global festival circuit with their melodic yet high-energy sound—rooted in big room house and electro house while incorporating elements of Latin and progressive music. They first gained widespread attention in 2012 with the “Reborn EP,” released on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records. In 2013, “Loud & Proud” was picked up by Tiësto and released through his label, Musical Freedom. Their track “Faith,” released later that year, became a major radio hit worldwide and achieved double-platinum certification in both South Africa and Sweden. That same year, Blasterjaxx made their debut in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs ranking and have remained a prominent name on the list ever since.
